Founders introduction- Charity Smith

Every journey has its unique origins, and mine is no exception. I'm Charity Smith, the Founder and Executive Director of UnEqualShares. My path to this mission was influenced by the values instilled in me by my family and the sense of duty I learned through early life experiences.

Rooted in Family Values:
From a young age, I was raised in an environment that prioritized compassion, empathy, and a deep sense of community. These family values shaped my character and instilled in me a commitment to making a positive impact on the world.

A Military Journey:
My military career was marked by numerous awards and commendations, but one experience stands out. During my tour in Iraq, I initiated a heartfelt project that would change the lives of countless children. I began writing to citizens of the United States, requesting Beanie Babies, toys for kids, and essential school supplies. The response was overwhelming, and it demonstrated the extraordinary generosity and kindness of people. These donations not only brought joy to the children but also allowed us to build meaningful connections with citizens and foster an environment of learning and growth in local schools and communities.

This experience reinforced my belief in the transformative power of support and community, and it became a driving force in my commitment to making a positive impact on underserved populations. It's a testament to the boundless potential of compassion and unity.

Lifelong Commitment:
My dedication to underserved populations goes beyond my military service. Through community coordination, mediation, and assessments, I found a calling to facilitate conflict resolution and address mental health needs. These experiences have given me invaluable insights into the power of creating positive change.

The Birth of UnEqualShares:
UnEqualShares is a testament to my enduring belief that everyone deserves an equal share of life's opportunities. It represents a commitment to breaking down barriers, bridging gaps, and empowering underserved communities.

Community Engagement:
At UnEqualShares, we believe in the power of community engagement. We work closely with volunteers to train them in mediations and conflict resolution, allowing them to become agents of positive change in their communities. We collaborate with community organizations and forge partnerships with like-minded entities to amplify our impact.

Concrete Goals:
Our goals are straightforward and actionable. We aim to increase graduation rates, school attendance, and provide alternative conflict resolution methods. Additionally, we are passionate about addressing food insecurity and nurturing self-sustainability. We believe in offering vocational exposure and training, including the innovative RISE TO FARM program through Direct Descendant Rabbitry and Apiary.

Gratitude and Acknowledgment:
I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those involved in taking my ideas from thought to actualization. I hold dear the love and support from all the people who believe in me and my ability to lead and execute the mission of UnEqualShares. I also highly value those who further our mission by donating, volunteering, and sharing information about us. It's your collective support that makes our work possible and propels us toward a brighter, more inclusive future.

Join Our Journey:
UnEqualShares is more than an organization; it's a movement for positive change. With a foundation built on values, unity, and a shared commitment, we are dedicated to strengthening society through sustainable initiatives. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future where everyone has an equal share in life's opportunities.
